Advanced Prospecting Course, Smithers, May 8 to 14

Smithers Exploration Group is returning to its roots this spring with an advanced prospecting course.  The program will be offered in Smithers from May 8 to 14. That includes five days of class time, working with the rocks from SEG’s Rock Room and two days of field trips. The 7-day intensive course will be led by Tom Richards, Don MacIntyre and Peter Ogryzlo with local geologists as teaching assistants.

This is the first prospecting program SEG has offered in many years, since Tom and others such as Loren Warren turned out the prospectors who are still in the field across northern BC.

The course is open to anyone who wants to advance their ability to explore, stake and develop mineral claims: prospectors, geologists, field crews and under-graduates from post-secondary institutions. SEG hopes to raise sponsorships for students who need to travel to attend the program.

If you want to attend or send members of a field crew, please contact SEG Rock Room administrator Anastasia Ledwon for details at rockroom@smithersexplorationgroup.com   If you or your company is interested in helping sponsor students, you can also contact Anastasia.
