Rocks ‘n Rambling, Friday March 2, SmithersSEG’s next Rocks ‘n Rambling is coming up in a couple of days on Friday March 2 in Smithers at the SEG office. By the way we should post a special thanks to Rugged Edge for their generosity over the years in hosting RnR. Thanks everyone and please come over to SEG’s new spacious office for future RnRs. Date: Friday March 2
Time: 4:30 to 6:30 pm
Place: ##101-3423 Fulton Avenue, Smithers BC As usual RnR is a chance to get together to look over some rocks and exchange war stories. Report from Rock Talk 2018Rock Talk 2018 is history. The Wednesday workshop introducing SEG’s Classic Collection of Cordilleran Rock Suites via a half-day workshop was jam-packed with locals and visitors. Former regional geologist Paul Wojdak and local geologist Lorie Farrell put together an impressive event and the rock suites lived up to their billing as you can see in the photo above. We continue to work on expanding the collection and refining the display area. However it is ready to be used by the industry. Consider booking the rock room as an introduction to northern rocks for the crews as you get ready for the 2018 field season. Contact us at info@smithersexplorationgroup.com And special thanks to our sponsors for Rock Talk: Seabridge Gold for lunch; Rugged Edge for the loan of the chairs and tables for the workshop; Act Labs for a lucky winner’s Rock talk registration; ERM Canada Consultants and P&R Exploration Services for the reception and Coast Mountain GM for the shuttle service.
