Vote Mining May 9 - Take Action Today!
A reminder that the provincial election is only a week away on Tuesday May 9 and the Vote Mining non-partisan campaign is your opportunity to demonstrate your support of BC’s modern exploration and mining industry.
Vote Mining offers you tools to take action and communicate directly with MLA candidates about the substantial benefits the industry brings to the province. Just like in previous elections, the Vote Mining campaign is a partnership between the Association for Mineral Exploration (AME), the Mining Association of BC (MABC) and the Mining Suppliers Association of BC (MSABC).
Take Action Now and send a letter: It will only take a few moments of your time and your letters will have a lasting impact!
Please visit the Vote Mining website: Click here, and in just three easy steps you can send a letter directly to your MLA candidates, asking them where they stand on important issues about BC’s exploration and mining industry. There is also a Where They Stand page where candidates' positions are posted as they are received.
Thank you for supporting the industry during the 2017 provincial election campaign! Your time and effort make a difference and we thank you!

SEG supports Pacific Northwest Science Fair
Congratulations to Aaliyah Mahboubi!! She is the winner of SEG’s Earth Science Prize of $100 for this year’s Pacific Northwest science fair. Aaliyah was the same very smart young lady as last year. She improved upon her Canada wide award winning gold project to create enough power from a jar of swamp material to power an LED light and discovered that while it would run down after a while, it would recharge and be able to run the light again.
