Mining Month 2025

May 7

Registration is open for Smithers Exploration Group’s annual Mining Month luncheon at the Prestige Hudson Bay Lodge in Smithers.  This is an opportunity for the mineral industry and the business community to connect over lunch and celebrate the contributions of the exploration and mining industries to the Smithers’ economy.  In 2020 Smithers attracted the most exploration expenditures on any community in BC, outpacing both Vancouver and Prince George. Events like the Mining Month Luncheon keep those connections fresh.  Check out the Mining Month poster and help spread the word by posting it at work.

Tickets are $50 plus gst and are on sale via Eventbrite. Please let us know if you require vegetarian or gluten free options by sending an email to info@smithersexplorationgroup.com

This year SEG will feature a panel of speakers focused on training local workers for the future minerals industry: Training Tomorrow’s Miners - Vital for Securing Our Economic Future. This discussion will explore current initiatives, address challenges such as skill gaps and access to education, and talk about new ideas to ensure our community is not left behind.
